About Us

A feature of life in Calpe marina is the vibrant tapas bar and restaurant where you can relax, eat and drink a mere 5 mtrs from the moorings. Calpe marina is also the base of the thriving Real Club Nautico de Calpe which plays host to a number of prestigious sailing events including the open match racing world championship.

Calpe is situated about 70 Miles / 112 Kms north of Alicante on the Costa Blanca. This coast promises to capture you with its breathtaking scenery and natural beauty and is one of the best cruising areas in Spain . Calpe is also home to a small fishing fleet, where the fresh catch of the day is auctioned on the quayside, everyone is welcome!

Calpe has a wonderful mixture of old Valencian culture and modern tourist trappings, providing an ideal base from which to explore the local area or enjoy some of the most beautiful sandy beaches on the coast, where swimming and snorkelling can be enjoyed in safety in the warm clear blue waters.

Spain is a nation that loves its fiestas and Calpe hosts at least six throughout the year, two being, the spectacular Moor’s and Christians and the exhilarating bull running events. Among Calpes many attractions are its restaurants, serving food from all corners of the world to the local residents (about 20,000), as well as the exciting influx of tourists in the summer season. Calpe is renowned for its excellent accommodation and the choice is huge, like the superb Diamante Beach hotel where family and friends can enjoy being pampered in this truly luxurious hotel with its 2000 m2 spa centre. Of course Calpe has many more hotels, private villas and apartments to choose from, accommodating all tastes and of course there’s excellent shopping in the many air conditioned boutiques. Calpe and the surrounding region has a wonderful climate, considered by the world health organisation to be among the best in the world. The average annual temperature is 20.c with summer highs of 35.c and above, although the cooling sea breeze makes this very comfortable. Calpe receives in excess of 320 sunny days a year making it a logical choice for a Costa Blanca base.
